This is a rare opportunity to own a great daily driving and never abused example of an always garaged and rust free 1968 Pontiac GTO 400 V8 2 Door Hardtop in very striking condition throughout! This is one rare and collectible unabused example of one of the outstanding GM designs of the sixties, the GTO option package for the Tempest created a new type of vehicle by shoehorning a big block engine into a medium sized car - the muscle car, starting a trend lasting almost ten years before the fuel crisis of 1973! With it's lightweight body and with 350 horses under the hood, the GTO was unlike any other car at the time. It was amazing how much torque the GTO had for an essentially stock six-passenger car and it became a legend in it's own time. The biggest advantage was it's weight, some 300lbs lighter than most later muscle cars, made this beast very quick off the line. In summary, this is most certainly one sure-fire investment that's bound to only appreciate over the years for any discerning classic American sixties muscle car collector or simply any muscle car enthusiast!
