1988 Pontiac Fiero GT Additional Info:
The good: New tires front, Pirelli s rear. No rust, cooling rails perfect. New parts including battery,Dist cap, plug wires, coil, plugs. New TPS, O2 sensor, Oil pres sending unit, EGR kit. New brake pads, master cylinder, booster, lines. New rear quarter panels will be installed when you see this. The Bad. Windshield major rock chip, AC need charging, No Emergency brake, Check engine light on, Gas gauge not working. Minor pan gasket leak. Seats show wear but not torn.
I rate this car just fair. The motor and transmission are tired. Car starts and idles and runs good with no rattles or smoke. Does have low end miss but hopefully will have this tuned out soon. Compression is 120+ on all cylinders. Oil pressure is weak at idle. Brakes are typical Fiero. I still drive it and have fun with it.
OK, here is the deal. I bought a 2000 Buick Regal with the 3800 Supercharged motor and 4T65e transmission. Was going to scabby for the Fiero but the Regal is just too nice. The car drives perfectly, everything works, no rust, and it runs like a striped ...ape. I drive it daily. Who ever wins the bid on the Fiero has the option of buying the Regal for an additional $2800. Health issues preclude me from making the swap. You and your wife can fly in and drive them both home.
As usual, both cars are sold as is, where is. Buyer is responsible for transportation. Both cars have clean TN titles. Might be interested in trade for 2 wd truck, but cash is king.
