1964 Pontiac GTO Additional Info:
Listed here for sale with NO RESERVE is our 1964 Pontiac GTO- A TRUE BARN FIND!!!! You don’t find many opportunities to pick these 64 GTO’s up that are basically complete and that are riding and lot driving. The car obviously has been sitting for a LONG time but after adding some fresh gasoline and a battery, the engine seems to be fine as it runs and idles smoothly and sounds healthy when transitioning from an idle as you add RPM with the throttle. The transmission pulls in each gear correctly and the clutch works as it should both in and out. All of these attributes I just mentioned are “best I can tell” by driving it on our parking lot. With some TLC, this car would be an ideal candidate to drive as a patina’d hot rod for Hot Rod Power Tour or something of that sort. It has a killer stance to it and has that old school muscle car sound idling across the parking lot. It has brand new Hankook tires on it all the way around and is ready to be taken to the next level with a full resto or tinker on it and drive it and enjoy it in between days of working on it. I can tell you that I know it needs the brakes gone through (they don’t seem to work at all) and it will need exhaust put on it as it has none on it other than the manifolds. The cylinder head casting numbers-9773345- appears to be year model correct so I would presume the engine and the muncie transmission to be original as well, that is if those factors are of importance to you, as the car appears to have not been monkeyed with very much. The interior is basically complete with it having the factory bucket seats and the complete rear seat. You can see in the pictures that I have not tried to hide anything-it needs rust repair panels installed, full floor pans front to rear, trunk pan, etc. The CAR NEEDS TOTAL RESTORATION TOP TO BOTTOM TO BE A SHOW QUALITY CAR. Here is where I recommend to those of you who are genuinely interested in it to come look at the car this week during the auction and/or maybe pay to have someone come look at it for you if you aren't geographically close enough to do so yourself. Now for what most put in their ads as "the fine print", I make sure is JUMBO SIZED so that no one can miss it! WE HAVE A CLEAN, CLEAR TITLE IN HAND FOR THIS CAR. THIS 1964 PONTIAC GTO is sold AS-IS/WHERE-IS with NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER! $1000 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS DUE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF AUCTIONS END-NO EXCEPTIONS-THE REASON FOR THIS IS I WILL NOT MISS OUT ON SELLING THIS CAR WHILE WAITING ON SOMEONE TO COME "LOOK TO BUY". THIS IS A "NO SURPRISES" AUCTION AS YOU HAVE EVERY OPPORTUNITY DURING THE AUCTION TO ASK QUESTIONS OR COME CHECK IT OUR FOR YOURSELF! PLEASE DON'T WAIT UNTIL 2 HOURS BEFORE AUCTIONS END TO SEND US A QUESTION ON EBAY-OBVIOUSLY THE LAST DAY OF THE AUCTION, CALLS ARE PREFERRED. THE TOTAL REMAINING PAYMENT BALANCE IS DUE WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTIONS END. PLEASE CALL US AT 606-248-1200 TO MAKE US AWARE OF BOTH PAYMENT AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS WITHIN 24 HOURS OF AUCTIONS END. Also, I have a job and I am not in the picture taking business, so I won't be taking and sending any additional photos-if you are genuinely interested, feel free to come look the car over yourself as I have recommended and check it out any way that you like or give us a call at 606-248-1200 and we will do our best to answer your questions-you can also message me here on eBay during the auction and I will respond as I have time throughout the week. I apologize that some of this may sound harsh, but I am sure you can imagine the stuff we encounter when running an ad for the world to see-please make sure your wife or significant other has given their permission prior to bidding-I'm sure she wouldn't want you to miss out on such a cool old ride! The car is located at 3133 US HWY 25E in Middlesboro, KY 40965 at Dixie Auto Parts if you need directions or to be able to get a shipping quote. Thanks and happy bidding!
