1994 Pontiac Firebird Firebird TransAm Additional Info:
1994 Firebird TransAm, LT1, 6 Speed manual,
This is as loaded as the TransAm came in 1994. I had GM pull up the option list for the car by the VIN number, and other than the hood and air-cleaner, the car came with everything else that is on it.
The previous owner added a Ram-Air hood, and the corresponding air filter set up for the Ram Air
The car is currently located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, but was last registered in Alberta in 2014.
I ran the Carfax report, it has not been in an accident, it has always been an Alberta car.
As such, it sat somewhere in storage for the last 6 years. I love the Gen 4 Firebirds, always wanted one, so without much thought, bought it in late 2019 with the intent of going though it and then playing with it.
So much for emotional purchases, It is sitting in my shop, taking up space, and it is down the list of projects, so it makes more sense to sell it, and focus on what I already have in the works.
So, what does it need.
1 - it is dirty inside and out, needs a good detailing2 - there is a small hole in the base of the passenger rear seat,
3 - the previous owner removed the rear view mirror from the windshield [ no idea why but it is in the glove box ] and left the wires hanging, so the mirror needs to be reattached and the wiring tucked back under the headliner, and the front edge of the headliner tucked back into the molding4 - The is an aftermarket stereo with a flip up screen in the dash, attached to an enormous set of speakers in the rear - the previous owner had them wired directly to the battery not to the key, so I pulled the wire as it was just draining power constantly5 - The ABS light is on, may just be a dirty sensor, may be more significant6 - The rear rims are WS6 - with 275/40/17" tires, the rear tires are shot7 - The front rims are aftermarket with 275/35/18 tires - front tires are in good shape8 - There are 2 rub through marks in the paint on the rear bumper, that need a touch up9 - The odometer says 89,000 km, but the car fax says it had a service in 2004 at 114,000km, Someone told me the gauge cluster was from a newer Firebird. So I cannot say with certainty what the mileage is. But again, it has been is storage for the last 6 years so the MILEAGE LISTED IS A PLACEHOLDER, as eBay won't list without a number in all the little boxes
The good news1 - It runs really well,2 - Magnaflow exhaust sounds great3 - its VATS delete, so that irritating ship key is gone - anyone with a car from the chip key era knows what a pain they could be4 - the body is really good, other than the aforementioned rear bumper rub marks
I will not sell it outside of Canada, simply because Canada doesn't offer "titles"It was last registered in Alberta, so likely any other province will require a safety inspection
I have my starting price low because it needs some love, and I haven't had time to address any of the issues.I already know if I start working on it, I will finish, and then I will end up keeping it,
