Excellent example of the 1989 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo Pace Car. 1555 of these cars were fitted with the 3.8l turbo, intercooled Grand National engine in 1989. The only time a V6 was ever installed in a Trans Am. This was the fastest car of 1989, and ran a mid 13-second 1/4 mile right out of the box.
Aside from the tires, this car is 100% original, and untouched. Just turned 80,000 original miles. Original paint, interior, etc. Zero rust or corrosion anywhere. Not on the body, or the undercarriage. Paint is excellent. Suspension is tight, and the car drives amazing, with no excuses. As soon as the boost kicks in, it puts you back in your seat pretty hard. It's very impressive. The only thing not functioning, is the A/C, This is a collector grade car, with no disappointments.
Included are the original laminated window sticker, "pizza box" which contained a key fob, and extra door decals, along with owners manual, etc. and a stack of every service record since new. There is a catalytic converter bypass pipe included, which I was told came with the vehicle when new. I've never heard of this, but it may indeed be true. It looks like a factory part.
This is a very, very, nice car. It would fit right in any collection. I am selling because we are liquidating some of our collection to refinance our home.
