1968 Pontiac Le Mans Convertible Additional Info:
Fully restored 1968 Pontiac LeMans frame off resto-mod. While everyone else was cloning these into GTO's this car was restored as a LeMans. The motor was custom built by Phil Burkart, NHRA Top Fuel Funny Car racer; it's a 400 stroked to 468ci, 500+ hp. The transmission is an Art Carr Racing transmission (look them up if you're not familiar). Moser rear, Hotchkis suspension (drives like a new car), Doug Thorley headers, Pypes X-Change exhaust with electric dumps, and on and on. No expense spared, have over $90,000 invested in this car. Both chrome bumpers were re-dipped, all other chrome was replaced. Interior vinyl and convertible top are all new. But the crown jewel is the paint - it gets looks and rave comments at every show. At the last show, a lifelong car guy and former Chrysler dealer said he'd never in his life seen a paint job like this one.
