One of 887 400ci V-8 350 hp /4-Speed GTO Convertibles in 1970
This desirable 1970 Pontiac GTO Convertible originally sold in New Hampshire as a high-optioned example with a 400 V-8 and a 4-speed transmission- one of only 887 with that particular drivetrain combination and only a handful of production models in desirable Palisades Green. While we do not know if the drivetrain is original to this vehicle, this classic has been maintained highly original with factory equipment and accessories. It has an awesome stance on the open road and really stands out in person.
The current owner informs us that he recently had the front seat upholstery refreshed with a new convertible top as well on this 1970 Pontiac GTO 2 Door Convertible. Unfortunately, we do not have extensive documentation to tell the overall levels of restoration that have taken place, but we can say that it’s absolutely gorgeous in person with fantastic body lines and quality exterior paint and trim. The engine compartment is also stock in appearance and ultra-clean without excessive chrome or other dressing. And the interior of this muscle car is absolutely immaculate with a like-new appearance throughout.
Additionally, this 1970 Pontiac GTO Roadster delivers exceptional power on the open road with world-class acceleration, handling and stopping power. As a highly optioned example from the factory, the power front disc brakes also serve this classic well. The four-speed manual transmission also shifts effortlessly and the engine is strong; this one really needs nothing to be enjoyed immediately.
