Be seen in the scene in this very solid, straight older restoration that shows very well. I've owed this Goat for 3+ years after acquiring it from Southern Motors out of Clarkston, MI. Check out their website or Facebook page which might provide any clarity about the quality of the cars they sell.
Exterior: All the body panels are straight with no signs of major repairs. One small blemish in the paint about the size of a thumb nail exists on the top drivers quarter panel. Very difficult to see, but disclosed with a picture, Adjoining panels all fit well with good gaps, with exception of the hood which sets about a 1/2" high in the rear, regardless of adjustments made. Possible fix with replacement of hinges & springs.The bumpers, light bezels, trim & emblems are all in place and inexcellent, great to goodcondition. Original glass is in good condition with no cracks, one minor scratch on the passenger door glass. Trunk has splatter paint, floor mat,spare tire & jack. Very minor surface rust shown is from condensation during winter storage and can be easily cleaned up with a wire brush and wiped clean.
Interior:Very clean and estimatedto be 85%-90% original, with only the carpet & seat belts being upgraded. Original seat belts retained. Original dash with no cracks, instrument panel with tachometer, AM radio, nice console, black vinyl seats are in great shape, headliner has no rips or sags. Power steering with Walnut steering wheel.Everything is operational with the exception of the AM radio, cigarette lighter and door locks.
Drive Train:Hurst equipped Muncie 4-speed, 3:55 ratio limited slip posi, manual brakes.Engine: Correct Tripower setup with rebuilt carbs, phenolic spacers and an aluminum intake.Balanced 400 block, bored .040 over,Keith Black pistons & rods, Edelbrock D-Port aluminum heads with Comp Cam roller tip rockers, and Comp Camshaft.MSD ignition system,Doug's headers and a stainless exhaust system with a crossover pipe. Aluminum radiator keeps it all cool.
