1950 Pontiac Silver Streak Additional Info:
It's your lucky day! you've just stumbled upon this great and rare opportunity to become the new owner of this beautiful 1950 Pontiac Tin Woody wagon..this classic is all original and in great condition for it's age..a real true barn find!! i drive this wagon 2-3 days out of the week and you will not believe the attention it brings..everyone loves the patina, the surf boards, the color combo...it's just an amazing time capsule that you will be proud to own.this would also be great to use as advertisement for any lucrative business..this car will make you money!!!
now let's get to the good and few bad about this vehicle...
as stated, this vehicle is all original...with the exception of the brand new upholstery and carpet that was recently installed.it has the original 268 inline 8 engine with a manual 3 speed trans.drives great and engine is strong and healthy..fires right up every time! this is not a restored vehicle but all drivetrain and brakes have been gone through...and anything that was bad or even questionable was replaced with new quality parts..new radiator, carb, gas tank, master cylinder, brake shoes and hardware,battery,etc,etc....i own several vintage cars and let me tell you..i spare no expense on getting them running right! it's still the original 6 volt wiring, all gauges are working correctly, speedometer works and currently clocks at 31,000 miles..even the radio is in great working order!headliner and all wood is in great shape.chrome is not perfect but shines up very well!as you can see in the pictures..this vehicle has the hard to find grille guard and bumper extensions.all doors lock with matching key from ignition..new door glass was installed, all other glass is original in great shape.still wears it's original Berkshire Green Metallic very well..also still has the original vinyl woodgrain inserts. the roof rack came off a vintage VW bus and fits great on this wagon! vehicle has a clean California title, registered and insured!
for the bad...it does have some very small rust areas(please see pics)..including a small spot(not pictured)under driver's seat that was poorly fixed by previous ownerthe wood door tops for both front doors are missing...but they can easily be made inexpensively.wipers sometimes don't function properly...as well as the rear brake lights sometimes won't light up as bright..seems like a grounding issue possibly..i've worked on them but the problem returns on occasion.the car could use some new body seals all the way around..that was gonna be my next investment.
as much as i would hate to sell it..i have my eye on another "bucket list" car..it's the only reason i am offering this wagon up for sale..if i sell one of my other vehicles first,i will pull this one off the market and not offer it up again..but make no mistake i am motivated to sell and i have set a conservative reserve price..i encourage all those with serious interest in purchasing to please contact me to set up an appointment to view this vehicle in person..i would love to show you the vehicle in detail and take you out for a drive..you will fall in love with this car! please view all pictures and let me know if you have any questions..thanks for looking and have a great day!
