1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Additional Info:
I am offering my 1977 Pontiac Trans Am Coupe up for sale. 6.6 liter Pontiac 400 engine with the Borg-Warner T-10 4-speed manual transmission. Not numbers matching due to block being replaced by Jasper Engines during their rebuild process.
This has been a frame up restoration over the last 12 years.. I will list a summary of what has been done, to the best of my memory.
There are 611 miles on this car since being rebuilt.
I tore the car down completely and sandblasted the frame and them POR 15 coated it.
All new brake lines and brake booster. Re-used the existing rear drum and front disc brake system.
Rear end is the original posi-track 411.
Transmission is the rebuilt original Borg-Warner T-10 4 speed.
All new rubber body mounts.
Engine is the 6.6 liter 400 Pontiac. I had it professionally rebuilt by Jasper Engines. During the process, they determined that the block was bad, so they replaced it. It came with a 3 year - 36,000 miile warranty. That was about 2 1/2 years ago. I have put less than 650 miles on the car during that time. This car appears in the 2015 issue of the Jasper calendar (September).
Ceramic headers with 3 " stainless steel true dual exhaust with 12" turbo mufflers. I have the turn downs, but they are made for 2 1/2" pipes.
Ported and polished intake with a Holley 650 carburetor. ( I have the original )
Functional hood scoop.
Aluminum OEM style radiator.
New custom engine compartment wiring harness.
Professional paint job by local body shop who used the original acrylic enamel paint color with out a clear coat.
Complete pin striping and decal set from Phoenix Graphics..The kit was technically meant for a black car, but I liked the black and gold bird on this car since it matches the wheels.
Wheels are 15" x 8" snow flakes. I sent them off to a place in Texas and had each one professionally refinished in gold (color).
Tires are oversized BF Goodrich Radial TAs. 275/60/15s. Less than 1000 miles on them.
I lowered the front end 2 inches by shortening new coil springs.
Custom instrument cluster with white face phantom guages.
New upper door panels, head liner, dash cover, carpet and sound deadener set.
Seats are new recovered. Interior is all buckskin in color.
I am sure there are many more items that I have replaced/refurbished. But this is a good start.
The car is about 96% done ( in as much as a show car can ever be truly "done"..).
Here is what is left: needs lower driver's side door panel.
no radio. the speaker wires are ran.
the dash blower/vent system needs installed. I have a new heater and
a/c blower control selector and all of the duct work.
needs new door jamb switches in order for the dome lights to work.
This is an A/C car. I have the compressor (which I am sure will need rebuilt), and brackets.
This car has passed all Missouri state inspections. All the exterior lights are functional, turn signals, and horn.
This is an absolutely beautiful car!!I will supply lots of pictures. I can also facetime interested parties if necessary.
No shipping. I will help buyer make shipping arrangements.Text me if you have any questions. 417684two733.
