I do my best to describe a vehicle so surprises area kept to a minimum: I list the very worst first.
This car needs minimal rust repair, as show in some detail shots. The worst 3 spots of rust on the car are the lower rears of the 2 front fenders, the (worst of which is the passenger side) and the lower rear quarter extension behind the drivers rear wheel. Unseen in the photos is also the rear cross brace behind the rear Bumper which has rust holes and should be repaired. The bad news is, this needs fixed... the good new is, all things considered... these are EASY repairs. I wouldn't say the car needs any panel replacement whatsoever, actually. The floors and rockers are SOLID, as is the trunk/shock towers. theres on small line of rust in the drivers trunk about the half the length of a dollar bill and is easily fixed as well. It's soft and not a hole. I couldn't find a single hole in the floors or frames at all.. though surface rust is present. almost all the rust you see is surface rust only... from sitting with leaves and debris on it. All the wheel lips area solid, quarters are Solid, and the t-tops frames and window surrounds are solid. Body isn't dented that I can see... so Metal wise *other than the surface rust this is a simple car to repair.
Interior is worn and used. but almost all there. Missing the console arm-rest and it needs a new headliner and rear seat panels need- re-sprayed or replaced from sun-exposure.
T-Tops are in good shape and they actually seal. All the glass is good and appears original. This is a power window car.
Car runs and Drives, Starts and stops but has clearly sat for long time.Engine bay isn't all cut up either. Typical Surface rust on metal components as shown. Missing air cleaner lid. Needs Carb cleaned and adjusted or possibly rebuilt but is the correct rare turbo carb. The rubber vacuum hoses also need some attention as they're cracked and leaking from age. this general tune up stuff would make it run much better, but does start and idle as is. Tires hold air but need replaced due to age. Some exhaust leaks here and there, due to being original.
Items that I can see are missing: Center arm rest, Pillar emblems, Front lower grills, air cleaner cover. Car still retains factory spare tire.
So, in summary what you're looking at is a sun bleached Turbo Trans Am in great need of paint and light metal repair and some interior work. OR... tune it up in a weekend, put some tires on it, bleed the breaks pull the tops off and have a bad ass patina'd driver. I drove it around the block.. trans is smooth, doesn't shift hard or smoke, signals and lights work (fuel gauge ground is off, gauge is pegged.. ) and other than the carb running rich, runs pretty well.
Hard to find complete trans ams like this these days. Harder to find T-Tops. Harder still to find T-Top Turbos. I cant remember the last time I saw a heavy duty suspension car...
Clear Ohio Title in my name. Paypal deposit of 500 Due at auction close, prefer cash on pickup. I would recommend Tires before highway use on this car... and would strongly recommend a trailer.. .but car does run and drive.
