Up for auction is a 1977 Pontiac Trans Am Retro Mod of the original 1977 Trans Am SE Y82 W72 Smokey And The Bandit car with unmatched customization. No expense was left out on this concourse quality nut and bolt restoration. You will not find another car with this kind of detail and quality. This car is unreal, The car is an original Arizona rust free Trans Am and we have the original build sheet. This is not a true SE car.

This car is a frame off restoration with less than 200 miles on the restoration and nothing was left untouched. The Frame and under body of the car was stripped and painted with Pour15 for a corrosion resistant finish. The body color is a graphite gray metallic and we used the best quality materials, PPG Enviro-base waterborne paint topped with PPG Clear coat for an unimaginable mirror like finish. The graphics were custom made by DB Graphics to a near flawless reproduction of the original Pontiac Y82 graphics. The car sites on original restored 15x7 snowflake wheels and BF Goodrich Radial TA tires for a accurate time correct look. Original 2nd design Hurst Hatch T-tops with new reproduction correct weather stripping were installed to complement the Y82 package appearance. All the weather stripping on the car was replaced with new Metro manufacturing products. The windshield was replaced for a crystal clear view when driving this beauty. The interior was completely replaced with correct reproduction 1977 Custom Deluxe horse collar seats and new seat foam all around. The headliner, rear package tray, carpeting and center console lid are new some with original GM parts, the console and dash were refinished to near perfect result. The engine tuned dash panel and power door lock switch were also restored to it's original finish. The gages were restored or replaced with new clear lenses all the way down to the Quartz clock that works and keeps perfect time, (when is the last time you seen this). The door panels are a custom blend of original deluxe upper panels with all new trim, the lower sections consist of Year one's custom door panel kit to fit the high end stereo speakers. The stereo system is a Alpine CDA 9886M head unit in silver to match the engine tune dash, the door speakers are Infinity Kappa PERFT61 6 1/2 components, the rear speakers are Infinity Kappa 693.9i 6x9's, The power for this system is a Infinity Kappa Five 1200 watt digital amp with a with a Stinger Stiffing Cap and JL Audio 10W0V 10" down firing subwoofer for perfect bass and sound quality all set in a custom clear plexiglass housing with mirrors and neon lights for an awesome show look. All the wires, cabling and distribution blocks are high end Stinger, no corners were cut here. The interior also consists of a Garmin nuvi GPS, power dimming rearview mirror, power windows, power door locks, tilt steering wheel with the formula 3 spoke steering wheel, power trunk release, keyless entry, LED and interior neon lighting. This car also has a white underbody neon kit for a perfect halo cloud effect when at a show or driving. The headlights are HID projectors for unbelievable night time driving clarity and complimented with LED daytime running lights. All of the exterior lighting is LED technology.

Now for the real stuff.

The car was converted to 4 speed with an original time correct Borg Warner super T10 transmission backed up with a Center-force dual friction clutch and new Center-force steel flywheel. Anyone that has been around a factory 4 speed Trans Am knows that you sometimes get a shutter on takeoff from the flywheel. BUT NOT WITH CAR. The rear end was replaced with a GM 3:23 posi-traction to take advantage of motors power and good blend of cursing at highway speeds. All the control arms, springs, suspension components, radiator support, inner fender wells, brackets, supports and motor parts are powder coated for durability and that brand new look. The air-condition has a new GM NOS A6 compressor and concourse correct new high efficiency condenser, all of the other AC parts are new or restored. The system is running R12 yes R12 and is ice cold. New front and rear brakes and brake lines, restored calipers and turned down original GM rotors not the cheap after markets, New Monroe gas shocks, Moog suspension bushings, Polly body and sway bar bushings and new quick ratio steering box. The motor is the original numbers matching Pontiac 400 completely rebuilt and trimmed to match the W72 special edition motor all the way down to chrome valve covers and bar coded engine decals. We installed a concourse correct 4 core aluminum radiator, Pypes 2.5" 304 Stainless steel cross flow exhaust with X pipe, transverse muffler and chrome splitters. This car doesn't have any leaks so you can put it on your showroom finish garage floor. With less than 200 miles on the restoration. This car is no slouch
