1978 Pontiac Trans Am Additional Info:
1978 Pontiac Trans AM.
This car is an original 400 Pontiac, Automatic Non-T Top car. Clean Oklahoma title with up to date registration.
Original color is Gold, and had the Z code engine and WS6 package. Electric windows are also equipped.
I have owned this car since approx 2005, and drove it daily for 20k miles. It was going to be built into a hot rod, but life has taken us in other directions.
This car is a project. It has rust in the rear quarters, rust in the doors, and rust in the front floor boards. I have replaced the rear floor pans with new metal from NPD, but the front pans and passenger side kick panel need replaced still.
The car comes with a pair of solid brown, manual window, doors. Just never installed them.
The front fenders have minimal rust, and have the Trans Am fender extensions and turbo vents.
Hood is in great shape, and has the factory shaker attached.
Car comes with everything pictured; radiator support, radiator, radiator shroud, bumper brackets, complete front bumper, hood hinges, a bell housing, fenders, the brown set of doors and the hood, dash and instruments, a bunch of interior trim and original transmission. Also, are the original fasteners from disassembly, approx 5 boxes of such.
Its a compete shell that could be bolted back together, but I left it as is for the buyer to transport.
Car has no electrical system, as it was a mess when I took everything apart and needed replaced. But, still has the rear harness to the tail lights.
Car has a 10 bolt rear with 3:73 gears, with a posi-track. posi-track unit was rebuilt when the gears were installed approx 5k miles ago.
Rear drums and front discs, brake system still holds pressure after sitting.
This car has potencial, just not with me right now. This car will sell after the starting bid is met. Half down and the other half at pickup, and the car needs to be picked up no later than a month after the end of auction.
Once again, clean oklahoma title with up to date registration.
