1964 Pontiac GTO Restomod Additional Info:
A top-quality build with the best of everything - that's what this 1964 Pontiac GTO has to offer. After all, with a 555 horsepower V8, upgraded five-speed, upgraded suspension, and seriously slick paint, this is the enhanced classic you can enjoy driving anywhere and showing off everywhere. This is a genuine first-year GTO, and so everyone at your car shows can thank your coupe for starting the muscle car craze. But more than just history, you'll love how this one knows how to intimidate all the imitators that came after it. This starts with the Nocturne Blue paint. This is a '64 GTO color, but there was a serious investment in quality when this car was restored in 2009. Since there has only been about 4,600 miles added since then, it retains a slick and dark appearance that will remind you of a thunderstorm at dusk. This glossy paint also serves as a template to show you just how straight this body really is. But as sinister as this car might appear, there are still plenty of bright spots. The chrome looks amazing on the Wide-Track front end, hood vents, all the correct badging, and rear bumper. Plus, the full-width rear trim strip for the taillights is a great finishing touch (and that's what most people saw of these anyway!) And the upgraded 15-inch wheels by Halibrand Engineering hint at more upgrades beneath the skin. Inside, the there was more investment making sure this felt fresh and sinister-dark. Sit in the driver's bucket seat and grab the woodgrained sports steering wheel. From this view you start to see some very cool features. The machine turned dash console is a hallmark of the GTO, and it's the perfect home for the upgrades like the full Hanline gauge package and the retro-style AM/FM radio that's now a digital tuner with aux input. Have you counted the gears on the stick shift yet? Your favorite upgrade of them all is going to be under the hood. That extra tidy engine bay with large fabricated Pontiac valve covers gleaming from within the darkness signals this is a serious powerhouse. The 462 cubic-inch V8 is larger than anything ever offered in a GTO. It started life as a 400 V8 before thousands $$$$ were spent during restoration, including the 462ci stroker kit, solid lifters, roller cam, serpentine belt drive system, high volume oil pump, ported cylinder heads, hi-rise intake, and topped with a Holley 850 CFM double-pumper four-barrel carburetor. This full package has been dyno'd at 555 horsepower, and the growl from the header-fed X-pipe dual exhaust lets the world know your superiority. Best of all, you have complete control over this big V8 and its thunderous soundtrack thanks to the Tremec TKO500 five-speed manual transmission. In fact, the whole car was beefed up for this motor. That's why the you have a chrome moly driveshaft that feeds a Moser 12-bolt Positraction rear with versatile 3.55 gears. Plus, the suspension is enhanced with Hotchkis rear arms, Hotchkis coils, Bilstein shocks, and thick sway bars front & rear. Add in power steering, front disc brakes, and wide BF Goodrich T/As, and this is one mean street machine. Complete with Pontiac Historic Services (PHS) paperwork, service manuals, and build receipts, this is the big power first-ever GTO you've been waiting for. But you're not the only one who has dreams like this, so hurry up and call today!
