1981 Pontiac Trans Am Additional Info:
I am trying to thin out some of my projects that I won't get to in the near future. This is a 1981 Pontiac Trans Am it has a little over 82,000 original miles as can be seen on the odometer. It is a non turbo 301 with an automatic transmission. I purchased this car several years ago and at that time it had been just sitting under a carport for numerous years prior to my purchase. I winched it onto a trailer brought it home and never touched it until yesterday. I cleaned the fuel line and gas tank, placed a good battery in it and it fired right up. I drove the car for a few minutes and it ran and drove surprisingly well. It does need the brakes bleed as they are very weak and some exhaust work as the center pipe is rotted, but everything else was working including the clock. The car sat outside on the concrete under a car port for years which is why the hood and the top of the fenders are rusted the way they are. It's mostly surface rust on the hood but the top of the fenders do need some work as can be seen in the pictures. I have the following replacement panels that will come with the car. I have a hood, trunk and both doors they are yellow but in good condition and included. The floor pans will need some work, there not terrible but do have some holes in them. The frame is good, rockers look decent, both rear quarters need work in the lower fronts and the trunk has some rust as can be seen in the picture but is mostly solid. The interior is in very nice shape. The seats look very good with the exception of the drivers seat having a split in the lower seat on a seam and the dash had one crack that I noticed. The car had a sun screen in the windshield that was in it the entire time it was sitting so the seats look very nice as can be seen. The headliner is missing. I think I covered everything on this car that I know. Plan on this car needing hauled as it has only been driven a few miles in numerous years and the brakes are not safe at all. I forgot to put in the listing that while the frame rails look okay, the very rear cross member is shot and will need to be replaced. This is the one that is commonly rotted out of these cars at the very rear of the car. I remembered this shortly after posting and it already had a bid if you would like me to cancel your bid let me know. Thanks
