1970 Pontiac Tempest Additional Info:

1970 Pontiac Tempest 2-door sedan (post body). Canadian production from Oshawa Ontario. Fresh from 3.5 year body-off-frame restoration. Has original numbers matching 350 PMD V8, rebuilt with SpeedPro +.030" pistons, decked block, ARP rod bolts, number 11 heads with NOS GM valves and Lunati springs, Edelbrock Performer intake and Performer 600cfm carb with electric choke, Lunati cam and kit and Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust.TH400 transmission, rebuilt with street/strip shift kit and B&M 2400 stall converter. The original Powerglide trans (dual bellhousing pattern) and driveshaft is included in the deal as well as the original 2bbl intake and correct carb if desired. Rearend is the original 8.2" 10 bolt completely rebuilt with all new bearings, new 3.55 gears and new Eaton limited slip, again, the original 2.56 open gears and differential are included if desired. The body is mostly original sheetmetal with the exception of the rear quarter panels and rear outer wheelhouses on both sides which were professionally replaced. The underbody is finished in satin black epoxy, the upper body is basecoat/clearcoat. The interior is all new with carpet, headliner and Comfortweave seat covers from Legendary Auto Interiors and door panels from PUI. The dash has a cap installed. The chassis was blasted and epoxy painted as well with no rust repairs required. All bushings, ball joints etc were replaced and the brakes were upgraded from 4 wheel drums to front discs and all new lines with parts from Ames Performance including new larger sway bars. Wheels are Cragar S/S 15x7 and 15x8" direct bolt pattern and BFG Radial TA tires. The only items that could use attention are the bumpers, the front could use rechroming and the rear would be cheaper to replace with a reproduction as they are cheaper to buy than rechrome. With the exception of the wheels/tires, sway bars, exhaust and minor engine mods, this is as close to a brand new 1970 Tempest as you can get! Drives great and turns heads everywhere it goes. All the fun of a GTO at half the price. Please feel free to message me with any questions or for more pictures, I have about 300 taken during the restoration!Car is listed for sale locally as well and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. BUYER arranges shipping or pickup, seller will NOT arrange shipping!
