1974 Pontiac Firebird Additional Info:
RESERVE PRICE WAS LOWERED!
600 HP Firebird Formula that has the following modifications and I have the drag strip tickets to confirm its 10 second quarter mile performance.
- Pro built 455 engine originally setup by Butler and then massaged with better aluminum heads with Koffman heads.
- the engine has very few miles and the owner spent $14k on the engine build.
- single plane intake
-1050 CFM carb
- roller cam setup
- the compression ratio is near 12 to 1 and the heads keep it cool enough to run premium fuel.
- 4.11 locked rear end
- 3500 stall speed torque converter
- 3 inch exhaust
- custom dash
- trunk mounted fuel cell and battery
- subframe connectors
- the undercarriage is painted flat black and there is no surface rust.
- interior is perfect and was completely restored.
- it has aftermarket 4 wheel disk brakes
- 3 speed auto tranny with ratchet shifter
- mini starter
- Dual electric fans
- aluminum radiator
- Electric fuel system
- Rev limiter with bright shift light
What the car needs assuming you just want to race it straight line.
- power brake booster.
- a vacuum booster because the cam has very little vacuum at idle.
What the car needs for street usage
- vacuum booster, cam has very little vacuum
- fix the rear end slow leak that I think is the axle locks that leak sometimes.
- update the front seats because the factory seats have no support for a car like this.
- Swap or upgrade rear end with a non-locked differential and add a locker or posi unit
