1976 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Additional Info:
Hello, you are looking at a 1976 pontiac firebird Trans Am project car. This car originally camee with the highly sought after 455 4 speed package as this was the last year pontiac offered this in the Trans Am. It currently does not have a motor or transmission in it or one offered with it, just the very near complete car minus drivetrain. The interior is complete minus the original front bucket seats, it has a worn out pair of old racing seats that came with the car when I bought it. The dash has one long crack down the center but is in otherwise good condition, it came with a factory 160 mph speedometer which is kinda cool. The rest of the interior is included with it but not installed. The floor pans have no carpet covering them and appear to be solid as far as I can tell. I had started working in the trunk section before I decided to sell this car and keep another one I aquired. The trunk area had minor rust issues as all of these un-restored 40 year old cars have, but nothing structural. The trunk lid is missing but all of the spoilers are included. The body panels have the same typical rust issues and I will include patch panels for front and back of the rear quarter panel wheel openings for both sides, provided I EVER receive it (it has been ordered for going on two months from another Ebayer). The fenders and doors appear to have minimal rust issues and very little body damage. The hood is in very good condition and the shaker scoop is included, the Shaker scoop will need some attention but is correct for the cars year. The previous owner told me the car was used as a round-d-round car and has sub frame connectors (Bolt-on can be removed easily if desired). There are a couple of award plaques stuck to the dash from being entered into races. The glass looks to be in good condition except for the front windshield which is brand new and in perfect condition. The car has air conditioning and power windows, power steering as factory options. There is a B&M automatic transmission shifter in the car currently so it had apparently been running a non-factory automatic transmission at one time. It has two factory honeycomb wheels included, it is presently on dry rotted rollers. I believe the car to be originally Sterling Silver, although it may have been Bruster Green at one time, as the color removed from various places reveals. This car has been stored in my shop for the last two years and in the previous owners garage for Sixteen years prior, so it has not seen weather for about Twenty years that I know of. This is a project car and needs someone who wants to spend the time on it to bring this lost beauty back to life, unfortunately I need to spend my time on my other project.
