1979 Pontiac Trans Am Se Additional Info:
Up for bids is a rare and super nice 79 trans am special edition with the y84 option package this unmolested beauty still has all of it's original body panels that show the perfect factory seams on door bottoms and the factory spot welds are also visible on the rear quarter lips showing that no repairs were ever made and are straigh, ding & dent and rust free! The car was repainted in 2015 its original code 19 starlight black in base coat clear coat then wet sanded and buffed to a mirror like finish it looks great but does show a few minor blemishes as any black car that has been driven will show. All new GM decals were applied including full gold pinstripes. All the body panels were adjusted for proper fit and doors open and close as they should with no sagging. the undercarriag, frame and suspension is also very tight and clean giving this ta a very nice and firm but very pleasurable ride. The t tops fit very nice and tight and do not leak! the interior is the rare original deluxe camel hobnail that is in very nice driver quality condition showing a good amount of wear and one small tear in drivers seat, all the other interior trim is in nice shape as well the dad pad is not cracked like most of them usually are, the carpet is new, door Sill plates and rear package tray are also new. The 403 V-8 runs perfect and shows no signs of excessive wear or abuse also no leaks, ticks, or smoking of any kind .it starts with a flick of the key every time ! The air conditioning is complete and turns on when the switch is flipped but it is not blowing cold it is in need of service possibly a Freon charge would fix it. the automatic transmission shifts nice and smooth and firm as it should, the brand new dual exhaust sounds great and has a nice mellow tone and also has the factory dual outlet chrome tips! the car is riding on brand new raised white letter tires that are mounted on upgraded 8" factory mag wheels that were professionally restored along with new chrome lug nuts really look great! Overall this is a fine example of a true American classic that has been admired and enjoyed since it was new and will continue to be for many more years to come! Please bid with confidence this black beauty is being offered at no reserve! Thanks for looking!
