This GTO is in very nice original condition with to the best of my knowledge having all of it's original sheetmetal. There are no signs of it ever being taken apart or wrecked. It has an older repaint that is holding up nicely. All the gaps are nice and tight and the doors shut effortlessly. There are no signs of any filler or patchwork being done. The glass is excellent and windows work perfectly. The only cosmetic issue are some dings in a couple pieces of windshield trim and the belt moldings. I think they could be repaired easily as they are original and not repops. The bumpers, grille, emblems and all other trim is super nice with no pitting. The interior is outstanding in all original condition. Nothing needs to be fixed or replaced. Dash pad is excellent with no cracks, Dash wood is nice and original with normal aging after 52 years. Has the Hurst shifter with original woodgrain GTO shift knob. All gauges, lights, horns, wipers, courtesy lamps and radio work perfectly.
Mechanically this car is a pleasure to drive. I've been playing with cars all me life ( I'm 61 ) and you just know when you get behind the wheel of a good unmolested car. This car is tight as a drum, shifts perfectly with no funky noises, and starts and stops like it's only a couple years old. The carburetor looks to be the original and it's dialed in perfectly. This is a GOOD CAR not a hacked up so-called restoration where half the accessories are inoperable, the wiring is all cut and spliced and the car rattles like dump truck. I know, I've bought a car or two that were supposedly restored and they were a nightmare to get right. This car is the total opposite and a blast to drive. I hate to sell it, but finances dictate it has to go. This car is ready to be enjoyed by it's next owner. It is being sold as is with no warranty. Buyer is responsible for shipping.
