This is already a good price for 1967 Pontiac Firebird convertible, but take a close look. When you see that this first-ever Firebird has been restored with bright paint, an A/C interior, great paperwork, overdrive transmission, and a performance-built crate V8, then you realize a good deal is actually an irresistible buy.
Finished in a modern and bright teal blue, this is a great color choice when they restored this droptop less than a decade ago. And the investment in quality means it still has a terrific shine that's perfect for a sunny-day machine like this. Plus, this gloss complements the Firebird's beak-like chrome nose and slotted trim that looks like a bird in flight. But while this has all the right details for a first-year Firebird, you'll also notice some nice upgrades. The large dual exhaust tips and iconic 15-inch Cragar SS wheels (with aggressively wide rear tires) tell you there's a bit more power to this icon (more on that in a moment.)
The white roof looks terrific against the ocean-like blue paint (and everything from the pristine color to the clean frame tells you there was nice investment here.) And with the flip of a switch, it powers down to reveal an even more impressive parchment white interior. The bright seats and door panels are so attractive that it will make everyone want to go for a ride. And thanks to black carpeting, you don't even have to make them dust of their shoes before hitting the road. There's even modern R134a air conditioning to keep everyone cool and comfortable. But even when it's just you, this Firebird is a ton of fun. Bucket seats with a center console means this is a driver's machine. The classic thin and grippy steering wheel is a great vintage piece, but when you spot the auxiliary gauges, they help indicate that this droptop is far from stock.
A 350 cubic-inch crate V8 was installed during restoration in 2010, and the consignor states there's only about 1,200 miles on the car since then. More than just a fresh motor with a tidy setup, this one has been given all the right performance upgrades. This includes an Edelbrock 600 CFM four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer EPS aluminum intake, MSD distributor, and Hedman headers that feed a rumbling dual exhaust. That means some sweet power and thunder coming from this Firebird. But more than just V8 muscle, this is an all-around cruiser. The power steering, front disc brakes, and upgraded 460LE four-speed automatic transmission w/highway-friendly overdrive is exactly what you want when driving a classic near or far.
The sale comes complete with nice paperwork like the factory buildsheet, Protect-o-Plate warranty card, and owner's manual. It even comes with restoration photos and receipts documenting over $45k spent on this Firebird. It's a great cruising classic, and you get the full story to tell with it. So now you know what kind of deal this is, and you also know how fast you have to be to take it home. Call today!!!
