For sale is an all original one owner 1978 Pontiac Firebird. This car is almost 100% original except for typical wear items. It has the original paint, interior, engine, transmission, rear end and all original mechanical parts. The car is a California car wearing its original California blue and yellow plates. It has been garage kept since virtually day one and looks it. It is loaded with options including power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioning, console AM/FM Stereo and factory Hurst 4 speed. The paint is still very nice although on very close inspection, some blemishes do exist and the paint is beginning to wear thin on the crease of the rear bumper. It has 3 small dings which do not photograph very well but I wanted to mention they are there. The driver seat is split along one of the seams but the rest of the interior is original and just beautiful. The dash pad is supple and uncracked or warped. This is a true one owner car and has been really well taken care of it entire life. The original owner meticulously kept track of every bit of maintenance...even the dates it was waxed (no I am not kidding). The car should have the original valve cover gaskets replaced (I just bought replacements today) and the original clutch although not slipping yet is ending the period of its useful life. That said, you could fly in and drive this car home. It runs very smoothly and quietly...it really sounds and drives like a new car. This car really must be seen to be appreciated.
