You are bidding at NO RESERVE on a true 242 VIN GTO factory 4-Speed with Ice-Cold A/C. They dont make them like this anymore, this classic American Icon was painted only once from its original gold to blue as pictured about 20 years ago. The paint and body are in excellent shape for how long ago they were done. There are minimal scratches, touch up spots and chips from driving throughout the years but nothing major. The body is extremely solid with only minimal rust that I could find most noticeably on the driprail of the passenger side which has a few very small the size of a pencil eraser bubbles, but nothing that needs attention or will keep you from winning a trophy or two at a car show. I am very picky so it may be a show car to some people but to me it is a nice driver or cruise in type show car. The paint shines very well, no waves, no orange peel I would say a good 5 footer. The trim and bumpers are original from what I can tell and are still in excellent shape with on minimal wear. New tires were just installed on the factory rally rims as well so you are ready to hit the road.
The interior is all-original and in excellent shape as you can see by the pictures. The seats are very comfortable and the minute you climb in thebucket seats you are reminded of how it felt in 1967 to be the talk of the town with a GTO and a 4-speed. The headliner, door panels, carpet and dash show only minimal wear and are still very presentable at any show. All of the gauges work as they should including the hood tach, speedometer, etc. A set of aftermarket gauges were added as well to monitor engine vitals including oil pressure and watertemperature.
The engine is a NOM 400 that was rebuilt and runs like new with plenty of pick up and go. It is nicely equipped with power steering and newly installed Vintage A/C that blows Ice-Cold off the factory controls. It fires right up, no funny sounds or noises, no leaks just classic muscle. The original 4-Speed shifts flawlessly and really gives you the feeling of being back in the good old days.
The rear is original and has been rebuilt a few years back and it goes down the road like new, no weird sounds or humming.
The suspension has been kept up as well and again it rides very nice no pulling or funny sounds.
A new aluminum radiator was installed after adding the Vintage A/C to help keep this classic goat cold during those hot days.
The underneath is super solid as you can tell by the pictures no rust or patches. The trunk is very nice as well with a full size spare, someone did cut it out at some point probably for a fuel cell but it is nicely patched over.
Overall I would say the car is a nice 8 or 8.5 out of 10, it is an excellent driver that could easily be taken to the next level if one desired, again I am picky and to someone else it may be closer to a show car but either way true 242 vin 1967 GTOs are getting harder and harder to find especially a factory 4-speed, and this beauty also has Ice-Cold A/C. The pictures speak for themselves you will be hard pressed to find another real 1967 GTO 4-Speed that looks and drives as good as this one. Do not let this one slip past your collection you will regret it. Bid with confidence I have 100% feedback and have sold many cars over the years. Car is as advertised with a clear Florida title.
