I am selling two 1929 Pontiac coupes in this auction. They were purchased from a person’s estate that had begun a restoration on them both but passed away before completing the project. All the parts have been stored inside for 40 or more years. There are two complete bodies, one complete original drive train, and one rolling chassis that has different axles on it. We basically just purchased the entire lot and stored them inside two storage bins without every really doing anything with them. I really do not have another way of offering these cars in a format other than to just sell everything together as it sits. At this point, it would be extremely difficult and time consuming to part the vehicles out one piece at a time, so it’s all or nothing. I feel that someone that knows their way around Pontiacs of this vintage can see the potential here. Considering the amount of parts, I would think that it would be necessary for the buyer to pick everything up themselves, here in Amarillo, Tx. The photos were taken randomly before the cars were packed into 2 storage bins, and I may be able to get additional photos for those that are seriously interested but it will be a difficult task. Note also that both bodies are in really nice shapewith little to no rust, they look crusty in a couple of these shots, put it is just dirt and dust from being under a tarp. There are 2 sets of running boards, fenders, doors, hoods, etc.that are not pictured. I'll confirm in the next couple of days and add photos.

I guess in todays world, one must be as clear as possible, so to answer a reoccurring question:
The photo of the finished car is just an example of what a 1929 Pontiac looks like, reserve would be a lot higher if that car was in this auction. Both cars have a title, however, they were signed over to the man that was restoring them many years ago. |
