1955 Pontiac Other 2 dr sedan Additional Info:
I'm in the process of thinning out my Pontiac Collection as I recently purchased another car. This Chieftain is just Dam good looking and extremely rare and cool. I purchased this car 2 years ago form the owner who restores it/ customized it. The car was born in Ca. and shipped new to Texas where it stood until 2005 . His friend purchased the car from an estate sal, then sold to previous owner. It was originally white and aqua. Previous owner painted it a real nice " Patriot Blue " with faint very classy ghost flames . Had a 3 tone velour interior made with a velour headliner . He had the chrome and stainless done ove, all show quality . He shaved the door handles and installed door poppers, he also he shaved the reverse lights and deleted all factory badges . Installed the weep mirrors which add another nice custom touch and also installed the very nice one piece billet Bitnik wheels . The motor is a 1975 Pontiac 400 block with 1970 GTO #12 RAIII heads . The trans is a fresh Turbo 400. The motor only has roughly 1500 miles on it . I bought the car with the fresh motor and trans from the owner . He said he put less then 400 miles on the motor. The cam is mild its a Crane Exciter Cam. I installed the MSD distributo, A Rebuilt Carter Competition Carb which I personally rebuil, along an Edelbrock Perfomer intake . I also installed the Auto gauge, gauge, auto meter steering column tach, and also new Moroso Valve cover, 1 Wire Heavy duty chrome alternator and chrome air cleaner . I also installed an NOS Steering wheel and horn button . I rebuilt the master cylinder as well. This car has dual exhaust run, drives handles and runs real strong and just looks amazing . I seriously can not take it to a cruise night without them awarding it with a trophy even without me registerin, I have the trophys to prove it !!!!!. Just a ver, very cool car and in my opinion but better looking and proportioned then the 2 dr hardtop sport coupe without the post . Also the Chief head on the hood ornament lights up Blue along instead of amber to match the car along with blue leds inside the grille thats lights up the grille blue as well .
To build this car with the quality and finish will cost much more then my reserve !!!!I have videos and many pic, email me so I can send what you want to see. Everything works on this car . There are 2 minor issues that came with the car when i purchased it. The drivers side rear quarter glass does not go down but the handles turns freel, i just didn't look into a regulator for it . Also there is a small spot of paint imperfection on top of the drivers quarter panel just behind the sail panel and to the left of the trunk lid. I do have the original paint for the car a small amount . But i think everyone knows paint is easily computer matched these days .
This car is NOT to far from being a show ca, Undercarriage is ridicules and the car is spectacular in everyway .
buyer is required to make a $ 500.00 deposit at the end of the winning auctio, I will help in any way I can with the shipper ....
email me any questions ??? Thanks for looking
