Bold red paint, iconic hardtop profile, custom interior, and a 400ci V8 under the hood... this is a real-deal 1967 Pontiac GTO, and it even has a rare pedigree to make this icon even more enticing.
If you're going to drive the original muscle car, then you should go bold. That's why it's hard to resist a hardtop in red. But the appeal of this one is more than just featuring the Coke-bottle curves in a Coca-Cola style red. Vertical stacked headlights, mesh grille, big chrome bumpers, hood scoop, and narrow sporty taillights made these the perfect aggressive standouts in the '60s. Plus, upgrade like hood pins, large dual exhaust tips, and iconic Cragar SS wheels only add to this classic intimidating street presence.
White interiors are always a bright attention-grabber, but this one takes it up a notch. Deep red in the carpeting and on the seat piping draw out the white even more. Plus, the round gauge package and center console are always nice sporty touches, especially set in the premium wood-grain appearance. From the moment you sit down in the driver's bucket seat, you can tell this is a nicely upgraded total package. Your right hand will love the B&M sports shifter, and the wood rimmed three-spoke sports steering wheel is comfortable in your left one. The dash is oriented around you, and so everything is where you want it, including the upgraded gauge package with column-mounted tach. There's even an AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth to make sure you can get your favorite tunes while cruising around in your vintage muscle machine.
Under the hood is a 400 cubic-inch V8 that looks like it was built for serious speed. Not only do plenty of component have a great shine, but we especially like how the Edelbrock valve covers have been painted to coordinate with both the exterior paint and the block color. This clean presentation also has all the right performance components like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock RPM intake, MSD ignition, and Hedman headers that feed the rumbling dual exhaust. Plus, this has the right support components like a new gas tank and an aluminum radiator to keep the performance V8 running cool. The stout TH400 three-speed has a 2000 RPM stall to keep you in the optimal power band. But the automatic transmission also makes this a nice cruiser. So you'll be happy to have power steering and front disc brakes to round out this muscle car package.
This GTO also has some cool history as one of only 751 cars to originally come from the factory with a Ram Air package. This info can be verified in the PHS (Pontiac Historic Service) documentation, which is always great to have with a rare coupe like this. So this is a real-deal GTO with the kind of distinction we all are looking for. Don't let it slip away, call today!
