1967 Pontiac Firebird 326 HO Deluxe Interior Additional Info:
67 Firebird 326 HO one of 2888 manual transmission cars built in this yr. Beautiful restoration was finished 3yrs ago. Stunning color combo factory code N with parchment deluxe interior trim. Lots of paperwork including original book with data plate, build sheet, window sticker and purchase documents. The original motor was missing when I purchased this car, however I was fortunate to find a complete donor engine from an identical model 2 weeks apart. M20 Muncie 4 spd transmission completely rebuilt along with the factory posi traction dual traction bar 355 ratio rear differential. Everything was restored back to original spec with front disc brakes for added stopping power, Hotchkis 1 inch lowering springs and Lars rebuilt steering with a tighter ratio for handling improvements and minor changes to engine allowing for pump gas friendly performance. A mild cam was installed to compensate for lower engine compression, HEI distributor and the carb was jetted to retain performance along with Pontiac long branch manifolds and 2 1/2 inch dual exhaust. A hood tach and analog gauges were tastefully installed to monitor engine vital signs. 15 inch factory steel wheels in staggered sizes with BFG radials round out the improvements. All the original brake components, wheels and distributor have been set aside and are part of the auction. The restoration began 10 plus yrs ago with an amazingly solid body. Quarter skins and outer wheel houses were replaced by the previous owner along with minor patching to the extremely solid and original floors. I purchased the car in boxes and completed the work using only factory GM sheetmetal including a pair of NOS fenders, door skins and core support. Over 500 hours of labor and un calculated dollars went into the renewal of this car. The panels are super straight and paint is a 9.5 on a scale of 1-10 only because there is no such thing as a perfect paint job when ur asking the painter. The car still retains the feel of 67 while benefitting from the minor improvements to handling and performance. Come see for yourself and be the judge. Car is sold with an open clear title in the name of the last registered owner and a bill of sale. Call or email questions freely Wayne 617 438 3044
