1972 Pontiac Firebird Formula 400 Additional Info:
Up for auction is a rare 1972 Firebird Formula 400 4 spd I bought several years ago from someone local who got the car from the California owner.
Car is an original400 4 barrel 4 speed car (not the more common 2 barrel)
1972 Pontiac Firebird 400 - Due to plant strikes only 5249 formulas were made in 1972 and of those only 1082 were the 4 speed manual cars.
1972 models are the rarest 2 gen Firebirds by far due to low production that year.

Tach added to steering
columnClutch linkage replacedDrive shaft yoke replaced 8/2014New Spark plugs/wiresNew battery 8/2014New tires and factory rims in 2014 since car had aftermarket rims when I bought it. Very few miles on them since.I put in a TA steering wheel and hurst shifter but I have the originals for both that came with the car.
Extra parts I have that come with car:Chrome trim surrounds for window - prob need refinishingDash with the original correct woodgrain insert, both in great shape ready to go in the carOriginal 4 spd shifter and steering wheelBoth front grillsClassic Industries bought parts: Headliner, Ram Air stickers, door locks, door weatherstripping with the felt lined window bead rails.

As you can see by the photos, it is in primer as it was when I bought it. Car is overall in good shape and mainly just needs a paint job.
I recovered the front seats and laid sound/heat insulation with carpet last year. I have a replacement dash that is not in the car and a new headliner from classic industries that just needs to be installed. Gauges in car all work.
Car runs and drives great. I drive it probable once a week or so. Very fun car to drive with the 4 speed/cam/exhaust etc.
