1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Coupe 2-Door Additional Info:
Up for sale is my 1978 Pontiac Trans Am All work has been done professionally most by Webber’s Auto Machine A very respected Engine builder in Central Florida Area. I purchased This Car out of Southern CA. It was originally sold Per all PHS documentation In Salt Lake City. As you can see all info on Window sticker 400 4SPD With Factory Air I have rebuilt mostly Everything in car I will try to list all but sure I’m forgetting mention some of the little things. The motor completely rebuilt and balanced new motor mounts Ram Air IV CAM Wanting to leave it more stock Looking Ram Air IV Exhaust manifolds Instead of headers, Correct W-72 800 CFM Quadrajet Carburetor From summit Racing New Correct High volume oil pump with high Volume water Pump and thermostat, And new Petronix distributor, New starter, Brake booster and master cylinder, Alternator, power steering pump and box original 4 Core radiator took to shop and completely cleaned and gone through. Complete Rebuilt Borg warner T-10 at same time and New Mcloed clutch new flywheel ect. As well is Rear end all parts bought from Quick performance with assurance the parts were made in USA One change made on their advice was to go to 30 spline axles instead of 28 for strength. I was told be quick Performance I would basically have the strength of a 12 bolt in a 10 bolt case. New ring and pinion keeping the original 3.42 ratio All Timkin bearings and seal used not junk from across the pond. Driveshaft Balanced. Complete exhaust system from motor back with Flowmasters by Mr. Muffler in Sanford A true Pro. Also installed was Hotchkix Sub Frame Connectors Especially for T Top Car Was told a good idea. To be Clear I’m not a mechanic by trade But, I’m Not a dummy I will take advice from ones who are and who I trust in the field. The interior is in great condition I did change out the 100MPH to the older 160MPH speedometer Considered it an upgrade I do have original and will go with car Miles in this state are Exempt anyway everything works Even the clock in Tach. I did add Auto Meter oil Pressure and Temp Gauge to know the exact Numbers I just don’t trust them old gauges for that even though I had them calibrated I’ve found you can’t trust the sending units to them. Changed the oil at 500 miles And have put approximately 1800 miles on it since complete rebuild. 4 Brand new Dunlap Tires just put one. Car runs and drives great. The paint Driver quality about a 7 out of 10 Has what you will get if you’re going to drive the car not trailer queen it. Few chips here and there mostly on the urethane bumpers. Car is driven. Car is very much an attention getter. A friend from MA. Visited and told me he had never been in a car that that got so many thumbs up. To top it off I also have a glove box signed by the man himself Burt Renolds To go with car I don’t leave it on a few screws and a minute can be put on for shows. There is a non refundable PayPal down payment of $500 I would encourage anyone to come inspect the car before bidding I also expect Full payment within 3 days By wire transfer or cashier’s check. Not PayPal Title is in hand Shipping responsibility solely up to buyer But, will help if I can. Will Work with Taxes. If you have any questions please call Jeff at 407 878 3004 I will answer anything I can. Leave Message. May end Auction at anytime is being advertised locally. Thanks for looking
