This 1969 Pontiac Firebird was born a 400, 4-speed with A/C. It is documented with all the PHS documents as well as a reproduction window sticker also from PHS. Delivered when new to Mike Salta Pontiac in Sacramento, California. The original motor and transmission are long gone and the car sat in storage in rust free condition until the car was purchased and brought back to its current condition by the previous owner. This Firebird was set up as a driver not a show car. I am not a Pontiac authority but I was told by the previous owner that the motor is a 1969 400 out of a GTO. It also has the ram air heads. Every suspension component has been replaced with new quality parts. Hotchkis oversize front sway bar. Car steers like a slot car. New Tremec 5-speed transmission with Hurst shifter, The pic shows the shifter with a T-handle. That does not go with the car. I’ve had that for 38 years so I’m keeping it. You will get the Hurst white ball with the 5-speed pattern. New clutch assembly, brand new in the crate Moser 12 bolt posi with 3:73 gears. 5th gear is overdrive so no worries on the highway. Ice cold Vintage A/C. Edelbrock intake, brand new Holley 750 double pumper with working electric choke, HEI ignition, headers with a professionally installed 2 ½” exhaust with Flowmasters. This car came new with a power antenna which is still there but not hooked up. A remote oil filter was installed as the headers made it almost impossible the access the oil filter. Power brakes with drilled and slotted front discs and power steering. The dashboard is showing its age a bit but still very presentable. No cracks in the dash pad, no rips in the seats, and super nice carpet. The 48 year old vinyl roof shows its age but still very nice. The headliner has a one of the seams split. It is not apparent unless you look straight up. Older professionally applied base coat/clear coat paint in the factory color is super shiny and in great condition. Year One 17” X 8” Rally-II wheels with Bridgestone 235/45/17 in front and 245/50/17 in the rear. Lighted working hood tach. I have tons of receipts and all the PHS documentation. I have a flashdrive with pics of the suspension restoration that the previous owner provided and it all goes with the car. All the hard work is done on this rust free Firebird. The only thing I’ve done on my watch was to install the new Holley carb. Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Feel free to email me with any questions. I’m not a dealer and I’m not selling it for a friend. This is my car. I drive it regularly only in perfect weather. Clear Pennsylvania Antiquetitle in hand. Car is sold “as is” without warranty.
