1990 SSE for Sale – Pristine condition!
My dad just turned 79 and decided that he's going to finally sell is 1990 Pontiac Bonneville SSE. I'm listing the car for him since he doesn't know how to.
35k miles
Car is located in Dayton, Ohio
He spec'd it and ordered it new and is the only owner. Maroon metallic paint with tan leather interior. Fully loaded (moonroof, gold cross lace wheels, etc) Only option he didn't want was engine block heater - so he didn't order that. Car has never been in an accident nor painted, etc. All original.
My dad is a retire mechanic and very picky about his cars – I hated this growing up, but it really taught me a thing or two about caring for vehicles and that has served me well over the years.
The car is inpristinecondition inside and out - itactuallystill smells new on the inside!
Car has literally never been in the rain or snow. It sits in the garage covered most of the time, he'll drive it occasionally on a sunny Sunday to take my mom out to dinner, etc. but it mostly sits in the garage. He parks it on carpet (as he found that a previous set of tires developed flat spots from sitting concrete floor, since he parks it on carpet, hasn't had that problem again.)
Never been smoked in (entire family is non-smokers), no food or drinks have ever been consumed inside the car, no animals/pets have ever been inside the car (no pets in the family). Car has Ziebart undercoating/sound deadening treatment - but has never been in rain or snow.
Car looks and runs great - here are the known issues:
1 - the compass and DIC displays on the dash do not turn on (everything else on the dash works fine) I don’t know if it’s a blown fuse or something internal to the cluster. In doing some searches I found that some say it’s a common problem on these models and the fix involves re-soldering a ribbon cable on the instrument panel – we haven't checked into it, though.
2 - the cassette player does not work (it will 'eat' the tape if you try to use it (we purchased a used factory CD player to install, but the cosmetic condition wasn't the best, so we just left the original AMFM/Cassette radio installed - I think he still has the AMFM/CD radio on a shelf in the garage – if so, that will be included if you want)
Pictures posted were just taken and the car is dusty from being stored through the winter, but should give you an idea of the condition. Once the weather warms up in the next few days, he’ll wash the car and I’ll update the pictures.
Following items will be included as he won’t need them if he sells the car:
Let me know if there are any other pictures you want to see and I can get them uploaded.
The car is for sale locally also and this listing will be removed if it sells locally first.
Smoke-fee, pet-free, pest-free home.
