1977 Pontiac Firebird Additional Info:
I am listing my 1977 Pontiac Trans Am Y82 Special Edition Smokey and the Bandit. I have all the PHS documents on this to show it is a real rare Y82 Trans Am. This is the most desirable combination with the deluxe black interior. As far as I can tell this is an all original paint car and original decals. I don't believe any of the sheet metal has ever been replaced. It is a numbers matching 400 and drivetrain as well. I have never looked in the car for a build sheet but there is probably one in it. The car has 51k originalmiles per the previous owner. There are no rust holes any where on the car but it has some surface rust spots below rear window on both sides more on the passenger than the driver side. I also think there may have been some filler on the passenger front fender towards the bottom. I am not a body expert but that is all that I see. The door and gaps are all nice on the car. The doors close nice. For a car this age with original paint it shows well but the paint is not perfect has some scratches and chips and the spots I mentioned. It would be a very easy car to repaint since there is little body work to do. Although I know there are collectors that want all original paint cars. The car runs and drives nice and I was told the transmission was all rebuilt but I don't have any receipts for that however it does shift out very nice. These cars are highly collectible and going up in value every day. This car has a lot of potential. The interior is very nice but shows some age but overall nice and the gold on the dash and the steering wheel are good as well. It has the much desired Y82 Hurst T tops that have nice seals as well. Inspections are welcomed and you are more than welcome to fly in to look at the car. Please call or email with any questions you might have. I have a collection of Trans Ams but just listing this one because I am not sure which way to go with it by leaving it as a survivor or restoring it.
