1970 Pontiac GTO Base Additional Info:
1970 Pontiac GTO, Real deal 242 VIN GTO! Super solid originaltrunk, frame, and floors. Car has a Non original motor 400 that runs great TH-400 trans, runs and drives great. No patches, welded in floors, ect. Car was originally blue with the original black interior that is in it. Lots of power options. Prior owned owned since 1974, purchased from police auction missing engine, front clip, and hood. Owner installed another 400 a LeMans hood and clip, painted it Burgundy and kept it in the garage since then.
If I were going to keep the car, Iwouldn't repaint it, paint shows nice. I wouldput the correct hood, and clip on the car and paint the front clip. I figure it would cost $1000-$1500 to do that and you'd have a super nice GTO. I mean it is nice as it is, but looks a bit confusing with the Lemans parts on the car. I verified VIN on frame on drivers side above rear wheel and on the cowl. Clean and clear title. Interior is in very nice shape, a bit of seam splitting here on one of the seats, but overall very presentable, nice dash. This is a real 60k mile car...and drives like one. Car washes yield no wetness inside the car of trunk. Everything works in this car.
Don'twaste your money on some Frankenstein spliced together Lemansclone, buy this nice driver REAL 242 GTO and enjoy!
Overall, this is a very nice driver quality car with no rust issues. It is a excellent runner and is perfect for the local shows.
