1959 Pontiac Bonneville Additional Info:
IT'S A PROJECT CAR!! Rat rod, restore, or use for parts. Mostly original and everything seems to work - headlight, wipers, original radio, heater, power brakes, power steering, and even the trunk light. Has almost 100% of the trim in decent condition. All glass is good.
Mileage is just under 50k and PO said it was accurate. I believe it by the condition of the interior. Definitely hasn't had a ton of seat time.
It runs great. Put a rebuilt carb on it, new plugs, wires, coil. Has aluminum radiator. Transmission is original with R all the way to the right and it's shift great. If you have an early Pontiac, you know how rare the early 389s and the trannys are. It will do a one wheel peel and shifts firm.
Body has some rust and rot, but it's not gone. Trunk is the worst area - have new pans. Core support has rot, some in the floors. Rockers appear to be solid. Doors shut solid. Frame is good. PO painted with a paint brush I believe and it has a few bullet holes - don't know how or why. PO put a newer gas tank in the trunk - it works and is hooked up to the gas gauge.
Interior is awesome. The front seat has a split seam, but for being a 1959 and not restored, it's about as good as it can be. It even has the original Pontiac rubber floor mat.
