1988 Pontiac Firebird Custom Show Car Must See
I am selling my dream car, a 1988 Pontiac Firebird show car. The amazing, air-brushed paint job is a must see. Complete with “ghost images” in the paint, the custom paintcovers the entire exterior of the car, including the door jams. The dashboard is painted to match the exterior paint and is a perfect match. The owner of our local body shop stated this car is a “work of art”. Another painter, commented, “the paint job is a masterpiece”. The only flaw in the paint is the cracked clear coat on the spoiler caused by the flexibility of the fiberglass. Finally, according to the coordinator of a local car show, “this car was built right—no detail was missed”.
The engine is also modified in the same theme as the paint job. It includes Holley fuel injection, Hooker Super Competition headers, aluminum pulleys and hardware. This GM small block has a great sound. It breathes via 3 inch exhaust and a Flowmaster muffler and it is directed by a 5 speed manual transmission riding on American Racing chrome wheels and Radial Gforce T/A tires, 245/50/16’s.
The interior is modified to match the exterior and includes a Sony Xplod stereo, Alpine amp, Pioneer speakers, a 10 cd magazine, cd changer and a Kicker subwoofer. The car has t-tops, remote door locks and power windows.
The Firebird has not seen water or rain since I have owned it. The car is stored in my garage and is driven at least once a month to keep the seals and gaskets moist and fluids fresh. The car has approximately 94,000 original miles and the Carfax report is clean. The only other known issues with the car are that the air conditioner recently started blowing warm and the headlights won’t automatically open. It would take $35,000 to $40,000 to replace this incredible automobile. The car can be seen in person in Oklahoma City, OK.
