Purchased from Car Dealership Owner / Private Corvette Collector - sat inside his aircraft hangar with his other Corvettes for a number of years before I bought it. Believe I'm the 3rd owner.
Purchased in November 2004 with 51,174 miles. Current mileage May 2017 is 54,594
Garage / Indoor kept its entire life. I've never even driven it out in the rain. I try to take it out on the road about 3 - 4 times a year for 50 mile drives to keep everything working as it should.
Adult owned, never abused. Currently tagged as historic. Blast of a car to drive.
Shortly after I purchased it, I had an Alpine stereo system professionally installed (head unit, factory speakers replaced, 2 amps, cap, QLogic sub box and 2 10" subs) so that you could hear the tunes with the T-Tops off. A cost of about $1700 back in 2005. (Receipts available) I still have the original radio and speakers if someone wanted to return to 100% original.
Oil changes have been synthetic as long as I have owned it. Great shape KUMHO 245/50/R16 tires on all 4 corners.
Right after purchase in late 2004, during a transmission filter change, dealer noticed a few metal shavings - so did a complete transmission replacement - with upgraded Corvette servos at a cost of $2500. (Receipts available)
Also have replaced alternator and water pump. New battery and hood lift supports in Feb 2017. (Receipts available)
Only accident history I know of is in 2005, somebody changed lanes on highway and clipped front half of driver side (driver door, mirror, front fender, and bumper cover). Damage was only cosmetic, All NOS parts were sourced for the repair, and everything done at a specialty shop at a cost of $3600. (Receipts available) Can't tell anything ever happened to it.
Paint is not perfect as you would expect to find on a 28 year old car. It will have its small blemishes, wear marks, minor scratches. I good detail and buff on it should resolve most issues. I just took it out from the garage for pictures, and it hasn't been detailed in many years, so should clean up well. Pictures are current and were taken Sunday May 7th, 2017.
Only issue that I know about is that the factory spoiler rear wing is starting to see some of the typical cracks in vinyl/rubber along the inside mounting edge. There is a company that makes new fiberglass ones to match and have heard good things about the replacements.
Comes with 2 sets of T-Tops, one set acrylic, and one set glass. Also comes with a Battery Minder installed, so you can plug it into an electrical outlet and it keeps the battery charged and de-sulfated.
Feel free to ask any questions, or can send additional pictures of any areas requested.
Note: I described the car to the best of my ability. You are welcome to come check out in person. Sells as is - where is, no warranty expressed or implied.
