1977 PONTIAC TRANS AM SE Y-82
This is areal Special Edition Y-82, automatic transmission, Hurst T-Tops and original snow flake wheels. I am the third owner of this vehicle. I donow have the factory dealer invoiceto prove. The vehicle was purchased originally from Kimmel Pontiac in Erie, PA. About 30min north of the vehicle current location. This not a numbers matching vehicle. The original engine was replaced with a period correct Pontiac 400 out of a 1978 Trans am. The engine is equipped with a Edelbrock Performer Cam, Intake and Carburetor package. The transmission is the original TH350 automatic with a shift kit and shifts through the gear very strongly. The rear end is also the original 10bolt posi-traction with 2:41 gears. It drives down the highway with ease. Vehicle also has aftermarket exhaust headers and dual exhaust. The braking and suspension have been gone over and are also factory stock. I have recently replaced the fuel pump and radiator. This vehicle starts very easy with no noises or smoking of any kind. All the gauges and lights work. "yes even the glove box and trunk lights!â€. Speedometer reflects mileage of 86,647 and I believe this is accurate. The paint job shows verywellwith only fewminor chips due to the fact I do drive this vehicle. Very small rust bubble on the drivers fender very low. Other than that vehicle is in very great shape. I did not reinstall the pinstripe on the vehicle due to I prefer it without. I do have a roll of gold pinstripe that came with the kit from Phoenix Graphics if you wish to re-install. Ialso installed a gold emblemon the front bumper instead of a red one. I prefer the gold over the red. Another easychange. The interior is very complete. Both front seat cover recently replaced as well as the headliner, rear shelf trim, door and t-top weather-strips. The back seat is original and in very good shape for the age. The right rear seat bottom does have a very small crack that has been repaired. I do not have the original radio. Vehicle has an aftermarket CD player in perfect working order. The dash trim bezel was replaced with a silver one out of a Trans Amwith A/C. The original dash trim plate was in extremely poor condition and I was not able to save. Again another easy change if you like the gold dash trim plate over thealuminum. This is a very complete, nice driver quality vehicle that drives excellent and very reliable! The only reason I am selling this vehicle is due to the fact I have to many projects and not enough room to store everything.
