You can call this 1967 Pontiac GTO tribute convertible a restomod or a pro-touring machine, but really it's so much more. With a supercharged LS3 V8, high-end performance suspension components, and an upgraded A/C interior, it is pure desire on wheels in a candy-coated red package. This convertible is absolutely stunning. Red is always a great color for a high performance droptop, but the Crystal Red Tintcoat seen here has such a deep luster thanks to an investment in modern clearcoat paint and a professional hand applying it. The result is a terrific shine that's begging for sunlight, and that's exactly what you want in a classic convertible. Pontiac's pointed nose and Coke-bottle profile just seem crisper on this car's outstanding paintwork. Now upgraded to a GTO, it gets all the aggressive details right, too. The large hood scoop and all the correct badging. Brightwork was restrained by '60s standards with the most notable standouts being the wide bumpers and full-length rockers. So while those look as excellent as you would expect from a car fresh off restoration, the addition of the large REV 17-inch alloys give everyone a nice hint that's there's more going on with this GTO than just an exceptionally restored classic. With one touch of a button, the crisp tan top lowers to reveal a matching tan leather interior. So no matter if the roof is up or down, this color against the exterior red paint has a kind of timeless appeal. And with only 6,808 miles on this build, everything in side is looking clean and pristine. This is a comfortable center console car, and the B&M shifter boldly rising out of it is probably the first upgrade you'll spot, but it's far from the last. Family and friends will want to go for a ride, and they'll really enjoy features like the power windows and the modern AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input for your iPod. And the best one is the modern R134a air conditioning that keeps everyone comfortable even with the top down. But in a custom build like this the best treats are reserved strictly for the driver. You get the classic three-spoke steering wheel with a wood rim. Beyond that is a full set of Dakota Digital gauges that have an aggressive red glow. Plus, you might have noticed the bulge in the hood. That's not the famous Pontiac tach (you get one in the dash.) Instead, it's a cool digital speed readout. So it feels just like having a modern head-up display in your classic Pontiac. While this car has been about subtle upgrades so far, the engine bay just screams custom build. You might want to grab your sunglasses before popping the hood, because we dare you to find another component that could be polished. So the total effect is that this looks like it's radiating power from the black engine bay, and anyone who thinks so would be very right. You're looking at a supercharged and fuel-injected LS3 crate motor. That's enough to blow the doors off plenty of modern competitors alone, but this GTO doesn't stop there. With Hedman headers, MSD coil, and other upgrades, this is now rated at around 550 horsepower at the rear wheels! And more than just a pure power setup, this is a very thoughtful total build. That's why there's a special grooved belt setup to quell noise from the Magnuson supercharger, and the aluminum radiator w/dual electric fans means the GTO can be in traffic with the A/C on and still stay cool. On the road, this one handles like no other car from the '60s. The suspension has been upgraded with Strong Arm tubular control arms in the front, and a four-link is keeping everything planted out back. Plus there are large sway bars and Ridetech adjustable coilovers front and rear. You're in complete control thanks to power steering and four-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. In fact, this GTO has so much versatility, that you get a four-speed automatic transmission so you can use this to burn up the backroads or just enjoy overdrive cruising.Complete with build receipts and restoration photos, this is the ideal everyday usable classic, and even Cars&Parts magazine agrees this was a cover car. An opportunity for a one-of-a-kind like this is rare, so don't miss out. Call today!!!
