1964 Pontiac Catalina Convertible Additional Info:
Selling this restorable 1964 Pontiac Catalina Convertible. Have clear title. She has the V-8 389/267 engine/hp, 2 bbl carb and a 3 speed AutoTrans. Engine runs and car drives but does need work as well as body restoration. New battery and new starter installed.
Skyline Blue exterior w/ blue interior and white convertible top. Convertible top up/down operates as it should. Additional photos and video of engine running are available upon serious inquiries only. This is a numbers matching vehicle.
Car comes w/ brand new white convertible top ($600) that has a tinted glass rear window. Snap on convertible boot in decent shape. Engine has tremendous power but due to high mileage, might need a cam and lifter replacement.
This car originally came w/ the fancy Ventura Trim interior decor group. Someone reupholstered at one time and did not replace w/ the original fancy trim. All Interior trim, seating and dashboard is there but have been removed for restoration. Carpet was removed and disposed. Some metal dulling and pitting. Has a non-original radio.
There is some minor frame rust holes near rear shock absorber and the floor pans have some rust holes as well, but is repairable. Replacement floor pans, quarter panels, fenders, doors, hoods, trunk lids and even frames are available for this car if you choose to replace instead of repairing. I was planning a frame-off restoration but job change forces me to relocate. I will assist in loading of this vehicle onto your trailer for transportation.
Car is a land yacht (19.2 ' length) but is very powerful and fast. Has very sleek body lines. It's a "Wide Track Pontiac"
Pontiac referred to this model as the GTO's "Big Brother", This car is an excellent restoration candidate and if restored correctly, can easily fetch you at least $20,000 plus, if resold. Besides that, it's just a very cool car to drive and be seen in.
