I am selling my 1973 Pontiac Ventura hatchback with a 400 CI engine out of a 1968 Pontiac. The engine has been professionally built and has less than 120 miles. The car was tuned professionally in a local high performance shop. Every thing is new. The car has a Turbo 400 transmission. There is a new flexplate and 2000 rpm stall torque converter to match the cam specs. I have also had a new set of 3.73 rear gears to again match the engine and torque converter specs for the best performance. New tires were installed on the car less than 50 miles ago. There is dual exhaust on long tube headers with Flowmaster mufflers. The shocks were moved inboard of the leaf springs to accomondate the larger tires. The original distributorwas changed out with an HEI. The radiator core support was replaced and an over sized aluminum radiator was installed. There is new carpet and headliner in the car and the seats have been redone. There is literally to much to list. I have invested well over 10K into this car but I am moving and do not want to take it with me.
The worst part of the car is the paint. It is faded with little shine but the car is straight. There are two small spots of rust / cancer in the right side fender wells. It also needs a new starter. After the car has gotten up to operating temp the starter needs time to cool down before it will turn the car over again.
This would make an excellent project for the right person looking to have a hot rod that can be proudly driven while the car is finished.
