1954 Pontiac Chieftain Chieftain V8 Additional Info:
Great opportunity to finish an amazing car! Car has been chopped and channeled onto a 96 Chevy Caprice frame and is powered by the LT1 engine that came with the Caprice. Car runs and drives but needs all the finishing touches to make it road and show worthy. Includes many many extra parts as seen in the photos. Will consider trades for 65,66 and 67 Mustangs.
Photos of car with green roof and with tan body are from a previous owner. I bought the car as you see it now (black and gray).
Wood in trunk are the cutouts to finish the customupholstery. Side wheel curtains are also included.
I dont know if the car has always been in AZ, ut judging from the lack of rust...im guessing yes. The last owner was going for a "mobster" style look that is why the color was changed. All photos are same car. Current car is a two tone flat black and gray. vin # is P8ZH33949. First registered in 03/1954...this is from the AZ title, erhaps thats an indication that its always been a AZ car, therwise I dont think it would be on the title.??
When I bought it the previous owner (I could connect you with him later) started it and we drove it briefly. He did most of the mods to the cars drivetrain. We didnt run it for long as I think the radiator had a leak, ut it did start well and seemed strong...no smoking or sputtering.
