1954 Plymouth Belvedere Additional Info:

1954 Plymouth Belvedere Sedan

Located in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Zip is 62864.

This vehicle has been in my family since new... (I think!) This was always owned by my grandmother's brother-in-law. I bought it earlier this year with the intention of restoring it and driving it for fun. I've since purchased an RV as well as got my 1965 Chevy C10 back on the road, so I'm out of space and money! I hope someone else will enjoy this car and get it back on the road. I'll try to describe it as best I can, but I'm not an expert on these cars by any means.

As far as I know, the car has not been started in the last 5 years. It was driven when put into storage, but it currently is not road worthy. The brake pedal goes to the floor, so it's going to need some brake work. I cannot get the car into gear. It rolls freely, but has to have blocks when parked. The emergency brake doesn't engage either. That's about it on the mechanical. If you are buying an unrestored 1954 anything, you know what you are doing. I'll give you as many images as I can to help with the condition. As far as I can tell there is very little rust. The car was repainted in the late 80's or early 90's. The body is in great condition with no signs of rust, but it is a 1954.

Lastly, as far as I know everything is still with the car. The air cleaner is in the trunk as well as a spare wheel and tire. You should have almost everything to restore it or to drop an LS motor in it and have an awesome cruiser!
