We purchased this car in the excitement of the upcoming car show season. We are students at a university and are about to start a family, so with that in mind we decided that the fun extra car needed to go. This is a 1971 Plymouth Sport Fury, 4 door hard top. We purchased the car from the original family. It has a 383, and the car is in a pretty rare color combo, GC8 Mood Indigo. It is a metallic purple. The car wears it's original paint, which is in overall good condition. With it being the original paint, it has somewhat of a what some may call "patina". It still has some shine to it but it is no showroom shiner! The interior is in excellent shape, no cracks on the dash, no tears in the headliner, The drivers seats has a few small tears along the seams, but besides that the interior is awesome! It is original interior, with a unique floral-esque print inserts. It would not surprise me at all if the odometer has not rolled over, but there is no documentation. Car is very rust free, it was originally undercoated and really there is no rust except for in the trunk. The trunk is quite surface rusted up, BUT it does not break through anywhere. All of the lights work and the. The car is equipped with air conditioning but it is not currently charged. The antenna is missing so the radio does not work either. Rear tires are currently studded snow tires. THE CAR DID OVERHEAT DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE THE OTHER DAY! There is a bit of a tick from an exhaust leak when first started, it goes away once warmed up. The car starts right up and drives great...when overheating is not taking place :) When I drive it around town it seems to do ok, but I don't ever drive it too long. The car did sit for quite a few years, could be a faulty thermostat... I know I know, just fix it. I would and I may try to, but currently i am so swamped in school and with the end of my semester and finals, the car has somewhat taken the back burner. This is really a sweet, solid and interesting mopar. Of course it is no hemi cuda or superbird, but a great family cruiser in a fun color combo.
