1969 Plymouth Barracuda Additional Info:
Former Mopar Nationals show car. This is one of the lowest production cars I have ever come across. This is an A56 code 1969 Barracuda. Plymouth only built 568 total 1969 A56 cars with this special "Cuda Package". It gets better as a notchback only 68 were produced. This is a 4-speed car and I am told a factory bench seat car. The prior owner also told me its estimated only 4 notchback, 4speed bench seat cars were ever built w/ A56 special high performance 340 "Cuda Package"! Similar one sold recently for $69,500. Only Three of them I have ever seen come up for sale in the wild over the past decade. One at Soneffs, one at Barrret Jackson, and one at Gear Head Classics. Do your own research. Here is an investment opportunity for the person who can see it. This car was with the same owner for a long time before I was able to acquire it in Nov of 2024. I am selling off my car collection due to my age... Odometer showing 83,061 as of 3/4/2026.

More about car: 340 engine 10.5:1 compression ratio. 10/10 crank with 2.02 X heads. 274/474 cam (Mopar Performance). This cam is .474 lift and 274 degrees advertised duration. 238 duration @ .050. 110 Intake Centerline. Transmission is 833 4 speed. Rear Axle is 8 3/4 HD unit 3:23 ratio. I purchased this car in November of 2024 from a person who had the car for many years and it meant alot to him. He kept it in his climate controlled man-cave also out of salt and bad weather. His wife I am sad to say developed cancer and he sold it to help pay for her care. It is a very nice car. Restored around 20 years ago.
Note: This car has A56 on the metal fender tag. They only built 598 A56 cars in 1969 and as notchback only 68 were ever built. So, it is a more expensive car than your normal 1969 Barrracuda due to the "A56 Cuda Package". The last six of the VIN on the metal fender tag match the VIN of the car proving the tag with rare A56 code belongs to this car. Lastly, since only 68 notch backs were built in 1969 with A56 special performance Cuda package, very few have went up for sale. They built around 40,000 1969 Barracudas so at 68 cars this is only ONE TENTH of 1% production..
FURTHER NOTE: Approximately 3,444 to 3,513 Plymouth Barracudas were built with the 340 cubic-inch V8 engine in 1969 so its not the 340 that makes car so rare although 340 cars were rare. Its the "A56 Cuda Package code" which gave the car these added options: The A56 option on a 1969 Plymouth Barracuda was the 'Cuda 340 package, which transformed a standard fastback or notchback coupe into a high-performance model, distinct from the Formula S. It included a 340-cubic-inch V8, heavy-duty suspension, specialized badging, and striping, often featuring 3.91 SureGrip rear ends for racing.
