1971 Cuda Restomod 392/ 4speed

Vehicle Details

For Sale is my 1971 Plymouth Cuda. This car would be a nice addition to any car enthusias, whether a collector, classic car dealer, hobbyis, flipper or just someone who appreciates the pinnacle Mopar muscle car. This 71 Cuda is a factory big block, 383 Cuda. It is 1 of 1163 produced. This has now been turned into a light Restomod with lots of modern conveniences. I say light because no body modifications have been done. Tastefully done and can be reversed at any time. There will be a ton of information so please read everything to answer all of your questions. The car now has a Gen , 6.4 Hemi mated to a pistol grip 4 speed. The majority of this car is new and recently completed. Other options added include Vintage Air A/C and heat, Dakota digital gauges, QA1 and Hotchkis suspension components, Hydraulic clutch and 17x8 custom steel wheels with dog dish hub caps. Please take the time to read everything as this is an honest description of most everything done to the car. I’m sure I will miss some stuff as the parts list is long. I’ve priced the car to sell and well below what it would cost to build. 71 Cudas are the most sought after Mopar and also the most expensive to build! Thanks for viewing.

Engine- New Gen , 6.4 Hemi engine. Mostly just run time and about 10-12 miles on everything on the car . Produces around 500 horsepower and yes it is very fast and will be reliable for a long time for someone. The car flat out moves the few miles I have put on.

Transmission- Rebuilt 833 transmission from Brewers transmissions. New McCleod clutc, flywhee, shifter linkage, shifter mechanism and pistol grip shifter. New Malwood Hydraulic clutch, clutch master and pedal.

Driveshaft- New driveshaft with new yokes and ujoints front and rear.

Rear end- 8 3/4 rear end with new axles and sealed bearings. New Yukon 3.55 suregrip gears.

Brakes- New front and rear brake, hardware, rotors, drums, pads and shoes. New brake lines, proportioning valve, hold off valve and Willwood Master cylinder. Entire system is new

Suspension- New QA1 upper and lower control arms. New hotchkis shocks, front and rear sway bar and 1.04 torsion bars. Strut rods are also Hotchkis. All suspension has been replaced with upgraded components. New rear leaf springs, shackles and bushings.

Interior- New interior with factory style seats, new dash pad, door panels, kick panels, sill plates and headliner. New carpe, package tray and emblems. New Dakota digital dash with red face gauges. New red leather tuff wheel with cuda center horn button. New red seat belts. Column has new ignition and turn signal switch. All of the interior floor pans were painted throughout. I did not want any chance of rust in future. The floor pans also have Dynamat to keep road noises at a minimum. New door and roof seals.

Glass- New front and rear windows. New door glass. Original quarter glass is only glass not replaced and original. New door window regulators and hardwar, front and rear. All internal components were greased and function great. New front and rear window trim and clips.

Body- The body on this car is very straight and the Paint looks great. It is a factory FE5 Rallye Red car with only 1 repaint. New rocker trim, upper door trim and rear taillight trim. New door handles, billboard stripe, front and rear marker lights and new Road Lamps. New tail light lenses, bezels and housing. New park light lights and housings. New Grille and lower grille insert. New front and rear bumpers and brackets. New Fender louvers, hood pins and emblems. Anything that could be purchased ne, was.

Exhaust- New 2 1/2” Borla exhaust with factory style tips out the rear. It sounds very mild at idle but sounds awesome when you’re on it!

Underside- just as much care was put into the underside of the vehicle as the top. Factory undercoat car that has been resprayed and replicated like the factory. With parts of the red paint showing. The car shows well and clean on the bottom side .

Electrical- New factory harnesses was used throughout. New dash, tailligh, forward harness and engine harness was used. New road lamp harness. New sublime technologies engine harness was mated to the factory engine harness . No other electrical modifications were made as I wanted the car to be able to as close to original as possible, other than the modern touches. You will be able to still diagnose any issues in the future with a factory service manual.

Wheels- Custom 17x8 Mopar steel wheels with new dog dish hub caps. New Nitto tire, front and rear.

Misc.- New wiper motor, new battery, new Vintage Air. A/c blows cold and heat blows hot! Has dual fans and factory radiator. Car runs cool. All gauges work as they should. Trunk has new mat, space saver spare tire and jack assembly. New Gull wing spoiler and brackets . New decals throughout vehicle

All the numbers match throughout the vehicle. Still retains its fender tag. Has door sticker and dash vin that match core support and cowl.

Overall as you can see a lot of time and effort has went into the car. It took about 2 years to be built. I travel to Utah, Oregon coast and California often and haven’t had the chance to drive the car much. I’ve put about 10-12 miles on it since completion. I haven’t put collision insurance on the car as I decided to sell the car for a new adventure. I am looking to move out of state and it doesn’t make sense to take the car with me, where I wouldn’t be able to enjoy it much. This Cuda was built to be enjoyed and I hope that someone will do exactly that. I’m not in a hurry to sell nor is it a fire sale. I want to price the car fairly and leave room for the next person. I obviously am selling at a loss. Having said that, because the car hasn’t been driven muc, I would say the negative is that the car isn’t 100% sorted out. I say that as anyone knows with this many new parts the car needs more than 10-12 miles on it to claim it to be. I would have liked to put more miles on the car. I would expect since everything is new that you will have some squeaks and rattles over the next couple hundred miles as it gets driven, and things needing retorqued and checked. I really want this to be a positive transaction so I want someone to understand the car fully and with an honest description of what I know. My hope is it goes to a tinkerer that finds messing with these cars as fun as I do.
