==LOW RESERVE==1936DELUXEPLYMOUTH COUPESTARTS RUNS AND STOPS------------------------------------MOST WOULD AGREEThat the 1936 Plymouth Coupe is one of the most desirable body styles of the 1930s, rivaling that of the '38 '39 and '40 Ford Coupes. Further, they are getting extremely difficult to find in the original configuration. Our offering today has a totally original drivetrain and seems to get a tremendous amount of attention in our small town. It starts easily, even in the coldest of weather and shifts through its gears correctly. The brakes seem to work fine and the wheels and tires are correct for the year, including the spare.==============================================================TOO OLD ! !At 77 years of age, I have decided that this project is simply too much for me. It runs, drives, shifts and stops fine however it will be in need of a certain amount of restoration. The basic body is in decent overall condition however three of the four fenders will require restoration. The interior has been redone however the discriminating buyer will not be satisfied. I have recently replaced; the rear window and the correct rubber seal (see picture) as well as the gas gage sending unit. All of the gages seem to work properly as documented in the pictures listed, it easily holds 60 pounds of oil pressure. The heat gage is the only one that seems somewhat in accurate. It has the correct wheels/tires/hubcaps and the correct spare wheel & tire have been stored correctly behind the seat.==========
LETTER FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNERS' FAMILYThe letters illustrated in the pictures above was written by the original owners Grandson and was written, most likely, in the late 1980s. It references the original tool bag and tools. These were passed on to me upon purchase and they are also pictured above and will be included with the sale.ORIGINAL TOOL BAG INCLUDED---------------------------ABOUT"DOWNTOWN DESOTO"Jim Raysik has been selling cars and trucks in the small town of Clinton, Missouri for nearly 50 years. First, as a salesperson for Stayton Chevrolet, then as the owner of Jim Raysik Chrysler,Plymouth, Dodge and Jeep. In 1989 the GMC Franchise was added. In the middle 1990s, Jim and Becky had the opportunity to purchase the decades old Chrysler Building, one block South of historic Clinton Square District. This became "Downtown Desoto" and currently has a total of over 100 cars and trucks, some junk yard escapees, some national show winners. At 77 years of age, it's time to sell a few (Becky's words/not mine).
