For sale is my 10-year owned 1965 Plymouth Barracuda. This is an excellent, solid car and drives beautifully. Introduced just shortly before the Ford Mustang, this was the first sporty, "pony car" and was an instant success in the marketplace. My car has an excellent red interior, all original with the exception of the cupholding center console between the two front bucket seats. The car has a new carburator and has its original 273 CI V8 engine with the Torque-Flite automatic transmission with the floor shift.
The paint is in very good condition and the car will be detailed and buffed out prior to shipping to the new owner. There is no rust on the car and only a small amount of bubbling under the paint in one area. It is best described ad a "five-footer." It has been a Southern car, always garaged and cared for in my ownership. It needs nothing, but the tires are over 5 years old. They appear in very good condition and show no cracking or signs of age. I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car anywhere at any distance. It has won awards at many local car shows over my ownership, and always attracts attention where ever it goes. Factory power steering and power disc brakes make it a very pleasurable driver.
There is an identical Barracuda selling on Hemmings Auctions today for over $26,000 -- just to give you an idea of their value.
I an willing to help in loading the car on transport and am certain it will give its new owner years of enjoyment. I am only selling it because I'm moving and have too many cars to store. I prefer wire transfer for payment and cannot accept any check because of all the fraudulent checks out there. It's an honest car and I'm looking for an honest transaction. I am happy to answer any questions you might have, but the pictures give a good indicatiion of the car's condition.
