This GTX was built at the Los Angeles Plant and remained in LA for the remainder of the time till I got it where it traveled south 40 miles to Orange County. The history that I know of, A man named Gilbert Herrera brought this car locally out of a trade paper called the recycler in about 1990. It was a running car at the time. He put it in a storage lot with several other Mopar muscle cars that he bought around that same time. Initially he would start them and drive them around but eventually it developed a carb issue and it sat ever since. He passed away unfortunately about 3 years ago. Earlier this year I bought the entire lot to get one of the cars. The family wanted to sell the whole lot. So I had to buy them all to get the one car. This GTX has some rust as you can see in the pictures. In California the car rust from the top down. The drains in the quarters and doors get clogged with debris and water collects and stays wet in the dirt and debris. This causes the rust you see here. The floors and frames are perfect. The trunk floor is amazingly solid with just a few pin holes, usually this means a total replacement anyways. The car has been painted twice over the original FJ5 Limelight paint. First Red then Black. You can see a lot of the original color in the pictures. The motor turns over but it sounds like it has no compression. It is missing the carb but I have the original air cleaner, which is hard to find and expensive. Otherwise this car is complete. It would make an awesome summer cruiser with the factory A/C. This GTX is very solid and could be mechanically restored and driven as a ratty muscle car or you can go crazy and do a restoration that it deserves. I have tried to describe it accurately and completely, if there is anything I have left out feel free to message me. I will help with loading it on the transporter for shipment.
THIS CAR HAS A CLEAR TITLE IN MY NAME
