This is a body shell as shown and was parked in 1979 when it had the missing parts removed and either sold or lost.
This is a SUPER SOLID Oklahoma car and has never been in the road salt. The under body is perfectly solid and the frame rails, rockers, torsion bar cross member, door jambs, inner fenders, firewall, roof section, window channels and doors, floors are all PERFECTLY SOLID with no rust issues at all. There is a little surface rust from sitting but absolutely no rot at all. The trunk floor is very nice and only has a very small amount of rust in the very center of the spare tire well under the mount. The rest of the trunk floor and quarter extensions are perfectly solid.
The front and rear torque boxes that are unique to the 340 stick shift cars only are all in place and excellent.
The tail panel looks great and the lock hole is not damaged.
The windshield is missing but all the rest of the glass is original and looks great.
The bottoms of the quarters will need patch panels but the rest of the quarter panels are very solid. There is a dent in the front of the passenger side quarter but this should pull out fine.
At one time the front floor pan section was removed (at the spot welds) but an original replacement and original stick shift floor hump are both included.
The original rallye dash frame and gauges are included. The VIN was removed from the dash frame as the previous owner was afraid it would get stolen but it is included as well as the original fender tag. I have confirmed this VIN, Fender Tag, Door Jamb Sticker and title all match the body numbers so I am 100% positive these items all are correct for this car.
The original sway bar lower control arms and k frame are in place and very nice condition as well as the correct torsion bars.
The car does not roll as the rear end, springs, disc brake parts all were removed years ago and I do not have them. I can however mount a 7 1/4 rear end and drum brakes and some roller tires and wheels if needed for a small additional fee so the car can be made to roll.
I do have a nice hood that is included as shown.
The listing is for what is shown in the pictures and nothing else is included.
This would be a perfect car body if you have a rusty 318 or 6 cylinder parts car as it is a REAL 340 in a great color combination as well as a stick shift.
I am located in Alma, AR 72921 which is 13 miles from the Arkansas/Oklahoma border and right on I-40.
A 250.00 deposit is required at the time of purchase and I can accept payment in full via Paypal or credit card over the phone. I have a clear open Oklahoma title that is ready to transfer.
