1974 Plymouth Other Additional Info:
This is one of the last great muscle machines. So that's why they made sure to restore this 1974 Plymouth 'Cuda with an eye for authenticity. The result is a V8 coupe that loves to deliver the vintage tingle that comes from proper Mopar muscle.
The 'Cuda really doesn't need an introduction. It practically wrote the book on specialty modes of American cars that were only built for power...and this was the final chapter. 1974 was the 'Cuda's final year, and that's particularly important because the Chevelle and Torino had already moved away from the sleek pillarless hardtop look we now cherish today. So this one celebrates the last of the great muscle coupes by looking distinct in its factory-correct Sienna Poly. It's the ideal earthtone hue to represent the 1970s, and at the same time, it has the deep luster from a quality respray to make sure it shines as bright as your nostalgia. And because Mopar's trim tags are so descriptive, we know that the full-length white stripe package was also ordered from the factory. It really highlights the muscle car lines of this 'Cuda with a nice kick-up in the rear for where the power meet the pavement. More than just these stripes, you're going to love all the sporty details. The twin hood scoops, hood pins, ducktail spoiler, and wide exhaust tips in the rear valence give this a performance look. Even the grille has an aggressive red outlining. It all looks so nice today because someone took the time to make sure this coupe was straight, correct, and stunning.
We love it when the exterior detail stripe is also a preview of the interior color, and this was born with this well-coordinated combo! There was a solid investment here during the restoration to keep it looking like a time capsule but feeling fresh. You get pristine white on the high back bucket seats, broad door panels, and headliner. But the carpeting remains a dark black, so you don't have to worry about taking your shoes off before going out for a cruise. And the moment you sit down, you know this Mopar was made for driving. The center console and dash seem to wrap around you. The dual spoke steering wheel gives you a fantastic view of the Rallye gauge panel with large speedo and tach. This driver-oriented and very vintage setup even means a short reach to the factory air conditioning (will need servicing) and optional Chrysler AM/FM radio.
The 360 cubic-inch V8 with four-barrel on top is the correct spec for this true 'Cuda. There was plenty invested here just to make sure you could proudly show this off just like the rest of the factory-spec car. So it has all the right details like the light blue block, stock air topper, nice decals, and overall crisp presentation. This motor fires up nicely and makes a sweet sound out of the dual exhaust. It's the kind of coupe you'll want to show off everywhere, and so the newer suspension components, power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and three-speed automatic transmission are all there to make this final-year 'Cuda a pleasure to drive.
The sale comes complete with some great documentation, including a detailed maintenance record, build receipts, and the owner's manual. This is a vintage stunner of significance, call today!
